An incomplete post-Medieval cast lead alloy (pewter?) shoe or knee buckle (c.1660- 1720). The pin is missing. The frame is rectangular in plan with moulded bifid knops on each end of the frame and concave mouldings either side of the central spindle, which is now missing. The buckle is plain on the back but is bevelled on the internal edge. The buckle is a mid-silver grey colour. See (3) for a similar example. Length: 31.73mm; width: 21.22mm; weight: 5.8g.
