Projecting from either side of the base towards the inner face are two flat angled arms. Each arm is pierced with a rivet hole measuring 3mm in diameter. The lower attachment 'arm' projects from the centre of the base of the object and has two pierced or drilled holes for attachment measuring 3mm in diameter. This 'arm' has a flattened pointed terminal. The function of the object is uncertain however it appears to have been a decorative attachment which would have sat on the rim or edge of the object, possibly a vessel or furniture. The object has a mid-dark green mottled patina. The patina and construction of the object suggests that a post-medieval date is likely. Dimensions: 45mm in length, 35mm in width, 5mm thick, 28.7g.
