Full Description
<1> Chester Archaeology, 1993, The Grange, Pulford: Archaeological Evaluation 1993 (Client Report). SCH4102.
In 1992 an archaeological evaluation just to the south of Doddleston Road and close to its junction with Wrexham Road, found evidence for a building in the form of a sill beam trench, also other cuts and deposits, which appear to date between the late seventeenth to eighteenth centuries. The evidence suggests that domestic settlement bordering Doddleston Road on its southern side appears not to have occurred before the late seventeenth century and also was short-lived, disappearing by the start of the nineteenth century.
