SJ 6757 8335: Four U-shaped features observed during the digging of a new drain due south of Moss Cottage in April 1995. They were cut into glacial clays below peat deposits. They were peat-filled and appeared to predate the northward extension of the moss towards Moss Lane. Origin and date unclear although it seems likely that they represent early drainage ditches.
