Full Description
<1> Ordnance Survey, 1871-1882, Ordnance Survey County Series (Epoch 1) 25 inch to 1 mile - Cheshire (Maps and Plans). SCH2462.
A farmstead, 'Minnside', is depicted on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 25" to 1 mile map, 1874-5, (see source 1). The fields to the north and west of the farm contain sheep enclosures and shelters. Although some of the sheep shelters are depicted on the earlier Tithe Map for the area, 1836-51 (see source 2), the farmstead itself is not. The farm and most of the sheepfolds/shelters now only exist as collapsed stone walls, the surrounding field walls are still intact and standing in some places and collapsed in others (see source 3).
<2> See map for surveyor, c.1837-51, Cheshire Tithe Maps and Awards (Maps and Plans). SCH3266.
<3> Bluesky International Ltd, 2010, 2010 Bluesky Survey (Aerial Photograph). SCH5444.
