Summary

Late 19th century mapping shows a water works incorporating an engine house, reedbed, watertower, windpump and covered reservoir. Marked as Waterworks (Middlewich U.D. Council). The watertower is visible on aerial photos from 1992 but subsequently demolished. The site of the covered reservoir and engine house appear as tree covered areas on recent aerial photography and structures may survive.

Reservoir, building and watertower marked on 2nd edition OS map marked Middlewich Waterworks.

Watertower is not visible on aerial photography from 1999 onwards, presumabley demolished. Covered reservoir and building still visible..
