Silver, Post Medieval, Sixpence of Elizabeth I (AD 1558 - AD 1603), dated to AD 1573. POSVI DEVM ADIVITOREM MEVM reverse type, depicting Royal Shield (with English and French Coat of Arms) divided by a long cross fourchee. The obverse shows a crowned bust facing left with rose behind. Second Coinage Issue (AD 1561 - AD 1582), Initial Mark: Ermine, Mint: Tower (London). See (2). Diameter: 24.4 mm Thickness: 0.7 mm Weight: 2.3 g.

Obverse description: Crowned bust left with rose behind head. Apostrophe after FR and double pellets in legend.
Obverse inscription: ELIZ[ ] D G ANG FR ET HI REGINA
Reverse description: Long cross fourchee divides Royal shield and legend. Pellets in legend.
Reverse inscription: POSVI/DEVAD/IVT[ ]/M.MEVM
Reverse mintmark: Ermine
