A silver shilling of Elizabeth I, ((1558-1603). Obverse: ELIZABETH D G MAG FRA ET HIB REGINA; crowned bust left. Reverse: POSVI DEV ADIVTOREM MEV; square shield on long cross fourchee. Martlet (AD 1560-1) (see 2). Obverse description: Crowned bust left. Obverse inscription: ELIZABETH D G MAG FRA ET HIB REGINA. Reverse description: Square shield on long cross fourchee. Reverse inscription: POSVI DEV ADIVTOREM MEV. Reverse mintmark: Martlet.
