Thirteenth century continental (Brussels) sterling imitation of John I penny dating from c.1261-1294. The Obverse has a crowned bust facing forward and the legend reads [I DVX BRABAN] TIE. The reverse has a long cross with 3 pellets in each quarter, and the legend reads BRV [XEL LEN SIS].
