A rim fragment of a ceramic vessel of probable Post-Medieval date. The object is sub-rectangular in plan and slightly curved in profile. The rim of the vessel curves outwards and measures 23.09mm thick. The outer face is decorated with two transverse ridges. It is mid-orange in colour. The internal face is mid orange and shallow grooves from the wheel can be seen. At the base is a small oval patch of black glaze. The internal fabric is a lighter orange and appear to have been evenly fired.

A lead weight of Post-Medieval date. It is a flat circular weight. The upper face is decorated with the Roman numeral I. Lead weights are common throughout the Medieval and Post-Medieval period. The object has a mid-brown patina and has been crudely made. Lead weights are common throughout the Medieval to Post-Medieval period. Biggs, N. & Withers, P. (see 3) note that weights of this type with numerals are consistent with the Roman weight-system as well as the averdepois system, thus they could equally be sixteenth century century. Given the growing number of these lead weights being found in the North West, it is more probable that these weights are significantly later in date (seventeenth to eighteenth centuries AD). Other examples recorded on the PAS include: LVPL-947F06, LVPL-29C770, LVPL-9463C6 and LVPL-AF7CA4.
