<2> Various, Various, Oral communication to the HER, SJ5746 & SJ5846 (Oral Communication). SCH2330.

A long (c.1km x 20m) straight north-east to south-west aligned slight earthwork is visible on the 2m DSM.

<3> Various, Various, Oral communication to the HER, Edwards R, 04/08/2015 (Oral Communication). SCH2330.

The north-eastern end of the earthwork coincides with reports of cobbles and stones being brought to the surface by ploughing near Smeaton Hall (see CHER 1189/1/21). The earthwork is not respected by the surrounding field system and there are no known pipelines which may account for it. Probably part of Margary Route 700 (see 4).
