Summary

The site of a small farmstead or homestead possibly dating from the eighteenth century, though it could potentially be earlier. The associated house was demolished in the late nineteenth century, however the farm building remained in use into the 1990s. It is now a ruin.

Full Description

This map depicts a group of small plots adjacent to a road or track. The plots are described as 'house and garden' and the north-eastern plot (no. 280) is depicted as containing two buildings, a rectangular building, with a smaller L-shaped building to the south-west. It is occupied by Mary Charlesworth.

A similar depiction to the tithe map (see 1). A group of connected small buildings, possibly including a pump, are depicted to the east of the L-shaped building.

Only the larger rectangular building is still extant. The plots have been largely amalgamated into a larger plot.
