Full Description

<1> Ordnance Survey, 1871-1882, Ordnance Survey County Series (Epoch 1) 25 inch to 1 mile - Cheshire, SJ8558, 1873-1875 (Maps and Plans). SCH2462.

This map depicts a quarry to the immediate south-east of Wood Farm. A track runs from the farm though the workings. The map depicts a small square structure, labelled as a smithy, at the northern end of the workings. There is also a crane in the centre of the workings. The quarry is labelled as 'Old' suggesting is was disused.
