A riverside warehouse built in 1890. the building was timber-framed to allow it to be jacked level to counteract the subsidence common in the area.

Full Description

A warehouse, built 1890, by M.K.Ellerton. A subsidence-liftable brick-nogged timber-framed building with grey slate roof. 3 storeys plus cellar; rectangular with gable end to river. Wooden casements; boarded loading doors on north side to each storey; gabled hoist-arm. Large section principal posts, beams and diagonal braces. Many of the posts are staggered at floor levels, to each side of cross-beams which have ends exposed. Gable end to river has a central boarded loading door to each storey, with a casement to each side in 1st and 2nd storeys.

The building is extant and visible on aerial images dating from 1999-2003 (see 2), but has been demolished by 2005-6 (see 3). Delisted 18/10/2011.
