Full Description

A cast lead alloy musket ball or pistol shot dating from the Post-Medieval period, (1500-1800). The object is in the form of a sphere which has been flattened on one side where the projectile has struck an obstacle. A casting line is visible around the circumference of the object. The object has a light brown patina.

A large cast lead alloy musket ball or pistol shot dating from the Post-Medieval period, (1500-1800). The object is spherical. A faint casting line is visible around the circumference of the object. The object has a light brown patina. The surface of the object is pitted and one side has a slight depression possibly due to the object striking an obstacle.

A small cast lead alloy musket ball or pistol shot dating from the Post-Medieval period, (1500-1800). The object is spherical. The casting line and remains of the spru are visible. The object has been flattened on one face possibly due to it striking an obstacle. It has a dark cream patina.

A large cast lead alloy musket ball or pistol shot dating from the Post-Medieval period, (1500-1800). The object is spherical. The surface of the object is pitted and uneven with a linear gash on one side, possibly due to recent plough damage. The object has a dark cream patina.
