Full Description
<1> Portable Antiquities Scheme, Various, Portable Antiquities Data Import, LVPL-48E024 (Digital Archive). SCH5212.
A cast copper alloy ring of uncertain function. The object is circular in plan and measures 11mm in diameter. It is of even width and thickens at the join where each end overlaps forming a rectangular 'bezel'. The object had a dark brown patina and possibly dates from the Medieval to the Post-Medieval period, c.AD1100-1700.

A cast copper alloy finger ring dating to the Medieval period, (AD 1100-1500). The object has a circular hoop which widens and thickens slightly at the shoulders. The bezel is flat and shield-shaped in form with two semi-circular notches, or cusps, at one side. The object has a dark green patina and is in good condition. A gold example which is similar in form has been recorded on the PAS database (see 3).

A cast copper alloy finger ring dating from the Medieval the Post-Medieval period. The object is circular in plan with an even hoop measuring 2.5mm in thickness. The bezel is flat, measuring 10mm in width, with each edge undulating with a notch in the centre. The object has a smooth dark green patina and is in good condition.

A cast copper alloy finger ring dating to the Post-Medieval period, (AD1500-1700). The object has a circular hoop which is flat. The width of the hoop is uneven. The bezel is in the form of a rectangular shaped possible buckle design however is very worn. The object has a dark brown patina and is in poor condition.
