Summary
Archaeological investigations at Barbauld Street in 200 recorded the remains of three pits and two groups of deposits of a 2nd to 3rd century AD date. Although the deposits appear to represent periods of flooding in the area, the pits contained quantities of locally produced Wilderspool wares.
