A radio station or microwave relay station built in the 1950s, remains in good condition and is in use.

The radio mast and microwave relay station on Pale Heights was probably built during the late 1950s, and as such formed part of an emergency communications network known as Backbone. The station comprises a steel lattice tower and associated ground structures, it is in good condition and remains in use.
