Silver groat of Philip and Mary I (1554-1558), north no 1973. Obverse depicts crowned bust of Mary left. Obverse legend reads 'PHILIP Z [MARIA] D G REX Z [REGINA]. Reverse depicts a square topped royal shield with long cross fourchee. Reverse legend is very worn but should read 'POSUIMUS DEUM ADIUTO NOS'.
