Full Description

Roman incomplete copper alloy T-shaped brooch (c AD50-200). It has thick straight wings with a cylindrical terminal containing an axis bar. The bow is D-shaped and slightly curved with a panel a paint/enamel in yellow running down the front of the bow. The foot and catchplate are missing. There is a gap at the top of the bow to accommodate a pin (now lost). The object is quite worn and corroded and has a mid green patina.
