Full Description

Incomplete cast copper alloy double looped buckle dating to the Post-Medieval period, (1500-1650). The object is D-shaped in plan and D-shaped in cross-section. The buckle frame is undecorated. One half of the buckle is missing. The pin consists of a strip of copper alloy folded over the strap bar. The object has a dark brown patina and is in poor condition. Similar examples can be found in Whitehead (see 3).
