Full Description

An incomplete cast copper-alloy crotal bell dating from the Medieval to the Post-Medieval Period (1100-1700). The object is spherical and consists of two halves joined by a raised median band. The upper half has two perforated circular holes on each half on the object. One of the holes has been damaged. On the lower half there are two circular perforations which are joined by a rectangular perforation which has been damaged. Between the upper two sound holes is a sub-rectangular attachment loop. The pea is mobile but corroded. There is no visible decoration on the object. The object has a mid-green patina and is corroded.
