Please read our guidance about the use of Cheshire Historic Environment Record data.
Summary
A former leadworks was recorded on Commonhall Street in the mid 19th century. First recorded on Wood’s map of Chester in 1833 it is marked only by the inscription of a leadworks. A circular building later recorded on a map of the city in 1853 may, however, reflect the chimney stack for the leadworks.
