Summary

Evangelical Chapel in Waverton, the chapel opened in 1849, as a Calvinist Methodist chapel, and has subsequently been used by the denomination Welsh Presbyterian. The chapel is still functioning today, however it is used by the Evangelical denomination. Ordnance Survey Mapping suggests that the change in denomination from Calvinist Methodist to Presbyterian occurred prior to 1874.

Full Description

This is a Evangelical Chapel in Waverton, the chapel opened in 1849, as a Calvinist Methodist chapel, and has subsequently been used by the denomination Welsh Presbyterian. The chapel is still functioning today, however it is used by the Evangelical denomination (1).

The chapel appears on first, second and third edition OS Mapping of 1874 (2), 1898 (3) and 1911 (4) respectively, which states it is of a Presbyterian denomination suggesting that the change in denomination from Calvinist Methodist occurred prior to 1874 (5).
