Summary

Ormerod, in the early nineteenth century, described Wrenbury Hall as being ‘surrounded with park-like grounds, and considerable plantations’ The tithe map of 1843 depicts a small wooded park surrounding the hall, with a larger open area to the immediate south-west. By 1874 the fields to the south have been further opened out, leaving any hedgerow trees in situ. 'Drives' lead from the Hall and the main access drive towards Wrenbury. The main drive to Wrenbury Heath has an avenue of trees.

The more open areas of the park located to the south and south-west have lost many of the free standing trees and parts are under cultivation. Much of the parkland character has been lost in these areas.
