Monument record 11328 - Post medieval pit to the rear of Trustee Savings Bank, Grosvenor Street

Summary
Limited archaeological investigations in the car park to the rear of the Trustee Savings Bank on Grosvenor Street in 1983 identified a single large pit beneath the south west wall of the bank. The pit contained loose black rubbishy sticky soil with some blocks of sandstone. Finds recovered from the pit were varied, dating from the first century AD to the 18th century.
