Full Description
The earliest reference to St Mary's Hill dates to c1329 as 'the lane to... Next to the cemetery of... St Mary on the Hill' (Portmote, 1). Still in use, the roadway was called Sant Marye Lane on Lavaux's map of 1745 (1).
