Full Description

This is a Primitive Methodist Chapel in Lower Wych, the chapel opened in 1923, closed in 1999 and has since been converted into a dwelling (1).

A Primitive Methodist Chapel appears on this site on first, second and third edition OS Mapping of 1874 (2), 1898 (3) and 1911 (4) respectively, however the 1838 Tithe Map (5) shows a domestic residence on the site. While there is no available aerial photography supporting this, it could be suggested that between 1911 and 1923 the chapel was demolished and rebuilt (6).
