Archaeological monitoring carried out during refurbishment works in the northern part of the Roman Gardens (Area 2) revealed potential Roman deposits at a depth of 0.6m below ground level (1). No other information on the nature or character of these deposits is available, only that they were found to contain exclusively Roman period finds.
