Summary
Swindley's Iron Works, built to the rear of the Red Lion Pub in 1901. Swindley was a blacksmith originally from Eccleston who moved to new premises at 24 Overleigh Road. They were responsible for the wrought iron work in St Mary's Church and the iron framework for the Eastgate Clock.

Swindley's Iron Works, built to the rear of the Red Lion Pub in 1901. Swindley was a blacksmith originally from Eccleston who moved to new premises at 24 Overleigh Road. They were responsible for the wrought iron work in St Mary's Church and the iron framework for the Eastgate Clock. (1)
