Full Description
Archaeological investigations at Tilston's Yard in 2005 identified the remains of a basin construction built in the early 19th century.
The evidence consisted of a series of roughly cut sandstone blocks [context 142]as part of a surface with a moderately shallow gradient forming a shallow basin.
It was interpreted as part of a semi-circular plan feature associated with the cop defences and appeared to function as a rudimentary dock. (1)
