Summary

An extensive brickfield is recorded on the Ordnance Survey First Edition map at the end of Brook Lane close to the Birkenhead to Chester railway line. The brickfield comprised a long narrow area of extraction along the south side of the railway line. By the start of the 20th century the brickworks had been extended to include a long narrow structure at the southern end of the site and a series of structures in the central part of the site. By the Third Edition map the southern complex of buildings had been extended.

Full Description

An extensive brickfield is recorded on the Ordnance Survey First Edition map at the end of Brook Lane close to the Birkenhead to Chester railway line. The brickfield comprised a long narrow area of extraction along the south side of the railway line. By the start of the 20th century the brickworks had been extended to include a long narrow structure at the southern end of the site and a series of structures in the central part of the site.
