Full Description
A school was built in 1873 as part of the Chester Union workhouse on Hoole Lane. The school comprised a long front range parallel with and set back from the road with a series of narrow ranges extending from the rear of the building forming two yards for boys and girls. In 1930 the workhouse became a hospital at the school was converted into hospital buildings. It was demolished in the 1990s following the closure of the hospital. (3)
