Full Description
Historic references to a ‘great ditch’ probably serving as a former boundary line in the field opposite Greenbank House on Eaton Road. The ditch was supposed to run parallel with the narrow lane immediately north of the Eaton Hall estate on an east-west alignment. (2)

Geophysical survey prior to pipeline installation in 2016 did not detect the Great Ditch . It is possible that the ditch lies to the south, witin the wooded strip on the trackway. This was not affected by the topsoil stripping.
