Isolation hospital, built c.1900, on the Sealand Road. The hospital was designed to care for patients with infectious diseases such as cholera that were refused treatment at Chester Royal Infirmary. The site was designed by Henry Beswick and comprised an administration block and four separate pavilion wards able to accommodate up to 46 patients each. A second administration block was added in 1915 along with more substantial landscaping around the buildings.
In 1948 the hospital was reopened as an elderly care home until the site was redeveloped in the 1960s.
