Full Description
A brickfield is recorded on the Ordnance Survey First Edition to the south of Hoole Lane. The brickfield comprised a kiln close to the roadside with an area of extraction to the south close to the railway. By the start of the 20th century the kiln structure had moved to the centre of the site and the area of extraction had expanded into the adjacent field and by the Third Edition map (c.1910) the structure had been demolished although the pits were still recorded.
