A Sunday school and chapel for the Welsh Congregation which opened in 1860 and closed in 1994 and has been subsequently demolished.

Full Description

Building on Back Brook Street used by the congregational faith. First opened in 1850 by a Welsh Congregation, it remained occupied until 1860 when they moved onto new premises in Pepper Street (CHER 10056). It probably reverted to a Sunday school from 1860 until 1884 when it was taken over by a different Welsh Congregation until 1894. (4)

The chapel was also the meeting placing for a Welsh Baptist congregation between 1854 and 1878 until they moved to new premises in Watergate Street. (4)

The building was demolished in the early 1970s as part of the inner ring road redevelopment (3).
