Summary

This is the location of a Congregational Chapel (later United Reformed Church) which opened in 1878, however an Ordnance Survey Map from 1874 shows that prior to 1878 the land had been recorded as a Congregational Chapel. In 1992 the chapel was closed and has subsequently been converted into a dwelling.

Full Description

This is the location of a Congregational Chapel (later United Reformed Church) which opened in 1878 in the village of Barton, closed in 1992 and was subsequently converted into a dwelling (1).

First edition OS Maps show that in 1874 the land had been recorded as a Congregational Chapel (2), however no building is present until the second and third edition OS Maps in 1898 and 1911 respectively (3), (4).
