Full Description
Record of the installation of an ARP shelter in 1939 along Queen’s Park Road, the excavation of which revealed Roman evidence. (1)
Contemporary accounts refer to a shelter built underground in a field to the rear of what is now the Salmon Leap apartment buildings. The shelter was dug out to below the water table. (2)
