Archaeological investigations at West Cheshire College in 2006 recorded evidence of post medieval agricultural deposits overlying earlier Roman evidence.
The evidence consisted of deposits of probable post medieval soils recorded in most trenches across the site containing charcoal flecks and some medieval and post medieval ceramics.
