Full Description
Following the demolition of the medieval fulling mill at Handbridge during the Civil War, a second mill was rebuilt and maintained by the Clothworkers guild until 1725 when they were sold and converted to a paper mill.

Historic maps record a tobacco mill, or snuff mill on the south bank of the River Dee just to the east of the Old Dee Bridge. It probably replaced the earlier paper mill recorded in the same area in the 18th century (1)
