Summary

A public baths is recorded at the north west corner of the City Walls near the Water Tower on late 19th century maps. It appears to replace an earlier cotton works associated with the Shropshire Union Canal. The Baths consisted of a squarish structure containing the baths themselves and a secondary structure to the east. It had been demolished by the start of the 20th century.

A public baths is recorded at the north west corner of the City Walls near the Water Tower on late 19th century maps. It appears to replace an earlier cotton works associated with the Shropshire Union Canal.
