Full Description
A canal wharf is recorded to the south of Dee Basin. The earliest structure, recorded on Stockdale’s map of 1796, consisted of two buildings at right angles on the corner of Tower Road and New Crane Street although they are not recorded as a wharf. Following the construction of the basin in 1802 the structures were used as wharf buildings until the mid 20th century when much of the Dee Basin was reclaimed. (1, 2)
