Full Description
A series of canal wharves are recorded to the north of Dee Basin in the 19th century following the creation of the basin in 1802. The earliest structure, in the north west corner, was recorded on Wood’s map of 1833. By the first edition Ordnance Survey map of the late 19th century there appears to be two wharves to the north surviving until the mid 20th century when much of the Dee Basin was reclaimed. (1)
