Full Description
Archaeological investigations carried out during the installation of gas pipes across Chester identified traces of post medieval activity at the Fountains roundabout in 2012. The excavations identified traces of a brick structure constructed of red unfrogged brick consisting of a north-south aligned wall 2.88m in length and surviving to a height of two courses and two abutting east-west aligned walls. The walls may relate to structures demolished in the 1960s to make way for the ring road. (1)
