Summary
Archaeological investigations carried out during the installation of gas pipes across Chester identified traces of post medieval activity in Delamere Street in 2012. The excavated area recorded a post medieval deposit at a depth of 1.10m below the current surface level. The layer consisted of dark brownish sandy silt and appeared to be an accumulation soil.

Archaeological investigations carried out during the installation of gas pipes across Chester identified traces of post medieval activity in Delamere Street in 2012. The excavated area recorded a post medieval deposit [1139] at a depth of 1.10m below the current surface level. The layer consisted of dark brownish sandy silt and appeared to be an accumulation soil. (1)
