Full Description
Archaeological investigations at Delamere Street in 2004 identified traces of post medieval activity possibly representing medieval to post medieval settlement activity. The evidence consists of the remains of a cellar structure of a mid to late 18th century date built against an earlier, undated, sandstone wall [4] from test pit 2 that may represent a boundary line extending back from Upper Northgate Street.
Further evidence of boundary features were excavated nearby from test pit 3, however, these appear to be of a later date. (1)
