Full Description
No 6-11 Grosvenor Park Road consists of a row of six town houses built 1872 by John Douglas. They are of red Ruabon brick with some plaster panels in the gable end with a red clay tile roof. Although in the Germanic style, they do not represent a consistent facade. No 6 has a spired octagonal turret with mullioned windows, No 7 has a half hipped roof and plaster panels at second floor level, No 8 has a finialed half dormer with some plaster and some terracotta panels with bay windows at ground and first floor levels. No 9-10 both have gable ends with plaster panels, although No 9 has bay windows at ground and first floor levels No 10 has a bay at ground level only. Finally, No 11 has bay windows at ground and first floor level topped by a gabled dormer with a gable end above with brick and plaster panels. The whole is listed as a Grade II* structure for its design and good level of preservation. (1)
