Full Description
Egerton Street School is a primary school with playground shelter and railings with gates built 1909-1910 by John Douglas and W.T. Lockwood for Chester City Council. It is red brick with yellow terracotta dressings and brown tile roof. The playground shelter also serves as a covered entrance from Crewe Street, south. Half-gable to Crewe Street with terracotta basket arch over ornamental cast-iron gate. (1)
An air raid shelter was stationed here during World War II (2)
