Summary

No 8 Foregate Street is a bank, built 1793-1803 possibly by Lewis Wyatt and extended to the south in 1897 by T.M. Lockwood. It is yellow ashlar sandstone to the front with a stone dressed brick to St John Street. It is two storeys high of three bays width with a symmetrical facade. The interior has columns and moulded beams in the banking hall.
